Welcome to Parking & Transportation Services!

Whether you are a visitor, alumnus, new student or new faculty/staff, we are glad to see you on our campus. Parking & Transportation Services (PTS), an auxiliary unit within the Department of Business Services, manages all University owned parking lots and is responsible for administering the Parking and Traffic Regulations of the University of Memphis.

Priority permit sales begin Tuesday, July 28, 2020. They MUST be purchased online through myMemphis > TigerPark and are available on a first-come first-serve basis. Decals will be mailed to your address on file unless you specify to pick up in the office. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE UNNECESSARY VISITS TO THE OFFICE. The mailout deadline for the Fall semester is Tuesday, August 11, 2020. Students must be registered by this date to receive their GENERAL permit/decal through the mail. There is a one-week grace period the first week of classes to allow students the time to get their GENERAL permit/decal. Please email us at parking@memphis.edu if you have not received them by the first week of classes. Online-only students must request a permit by e-mailing parking@memphis.edu.

Parking and Transportation Services (PTS), located on the ground floor of the Zach Curlin garage, is currently undergoing construction. During this final phase, the PTS office will remain open with office hours from 9 am – 3 pm. Visitors may need to call 901.678.2212 or 901.678.4338 for entry if a representative is not present at the window. To protect the health of yourself and the staff, please do not make unnecessary visits to the office. Most of our services are available online. Email parking@memphis.edu for more information.

The new South Garage (Lot 18) is a gated GENERAL Permit parking facility. All students and employees with a current UofM permit for General Parking will have access to this garage. Once you pull up to the garage gate, where the intercom is right at your driver’s side window, STOP! This will activate the loop for the AVI reader to read the RFID chip on the back of your UofM permit (you will hear a beeping sound) and the garage gate should open automatically. This could take anywhere from 5-10 seconds. If the garage gate does not open, please press the intercom button and ask the dispatcher for assistance. Elevators are available in the southeast corner of the garage to take you to the 4th floor to access the Hunter Harrison Memorial Bridge.
