2022 Faculty Awards

The University of Memphis and the UofM Alumni Association awards recently presented

The 2022 Faculty Awards recipients were recently announced by the University of Memphis and the UofM Alumni Association. The Willard R. Sparks Eminent Faculty Award is the highest distinction given to a faculty member by the University, and the UofM Alumni Association recognizes outstanding faculty by sponsoring awards in teaching, research and creative excellence annually.

The Willard R. Sparks Eminent Faculty Award:

• Dr. Lan Wang, Professor and Chair in the Department of Computer Science, College of Arts & Sciences
   

The UofM Alumni Association Distinguished Teaching Awards:

• Dr. Edward Maclin, Instructor, Department of Anthropology, College of Arts & Sciences
• Dr. Mary Wilson, Associate Professor, Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music, College of Communication and Fine Arts
• Dr. Kathy A. Tuberville, Instructor, Department of Management, Fogelman College of Business & Economics.
   

The UofM Alumni Association Distinguished Research, Creative Achievement & Excellence in Engaged Scholarship Awards:

• Distinguished Achievement in the Creative Arts
  Mary Wilson, Associate Professor, Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music, College of Communication and Fine Arts  
• Distinguished Research in the Humanities
  Dr. Andre E. Johnson, Associate Professor, Department of Communication and Film, College of Communication and Fine Arts
• Distinguished Research in the Social Sciences, Business & Law
  Dr. Xiangen Hu, Professor, Department of Psychology, College of Arts & Sciences
