UofM NSF Research Experience Benefits Undergraduates (REU) Cohort
New program for faculty to support student research; registration available on UofM InfoReady site.
This year the Division of Research & Innovation is excited to announce the start of the inaugural National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program. Similar to the highly successful NSF CAREER cohort program that is offered every year, the NSF REU Cohort is designed to help faculty improve their chances of winning an REU award and includes training, workshops, and professional editing and review services. These awards support the participation of undergraduate students in faculty research in areas funded by the NSF.
The 2023 REU Cohort Kick-off meeting will be held in June and led by Dr. Brian Evans, Manager of Strategic Research Initiatives. Workshops, Q&A sessions, and one-on-one meetings will be scheduled thereafter leading up to the submission deadline in September of this year. A detailed schedule will be provided to all participants after the sign-up closes at the end of May.
If you are planning to participate in this year’s CAREER cohort, sign up using the application link on our InfoReady website: https://memphis.infoready4.com/. The prior years solicitation for the NSF REU program can be found at https://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2022/nsf22601/nsf22601.htm (the 2023 solicitation is expected to be released soon).
