Summer Research & Innovation Fellowships for Faculty
The Division of Research & Innovation’s primary role is to serve and support faculty efforts as we grow the research footprint of the university.
In an effort to seek stronger faculty input to improving its operations plus to grow research management skills on campus, the Division is looking to hire up to four faculty members as Research & Innovation Fellows who will join the Division for two- or three-months attachments in the coming summer semester to learn our work plus undertake improvement projects.
Some possible focus areas include:
- Sponsored Programs Administration
- Research Compliance
- Research Park Operations
- Research Development Strategies & Partnerships
- Intellectual Property Protection & Management
- Spinning out University Ventures
- Research Foundation Operations
- Research Space Planning
- Federal Research Funding Programs
Ideas about other specific project proposals that help grow research on campus are also welcome.
Applications are open from tenured faculty with established research records. Selected fellows will receive summer compensation based on projects and length of attachment following university policies. Fellows will also be trained on the overall structure, strategies, and systems of the Division.
Two-page applications discussing your qualifications, possible focus areas, and motivations together with your latest CV can be emailed to Dr. Jasbir Dhaliwal at jdhaliwal@memphis.edu by February 15 for full consideration.
