Artificial Intelligence Research Exchange

UofM hosted webinar with counterparts from the Autonomous University of Barcelona on AI research

 

On April 2, 2024, the Division of Research & Innovation hosted a collaborative webinar with esteemed counterparts from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in which faculty from both universities shared their research on artificial intelligence. The UofM partnered with the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the Institute of European Studies to bring together AI Researchers from diverse disciplines to build international collaborations. Spain has led the European Union in the development of AI policy and the faculty at UAB have been at the forefront of the research space. The University of Memphis is home to a diverse cohort of research scholars working to advance applications of AI. The dialogue between these institutions is meant to create productive exchanges that will lead to further research advancement and collaboration.

•                     Dr. Deepak Venugopal (UofM): Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Lab

•                     Dr. Lidia Ballesta (UAB): AI and Gender Bias

•                     Dr. Myounggyu Won (UofM): Intelligent Transportation Systems Research at UofM

•                     Dr. Josep Cañabate (UAB): Algorithmic Audits and Fundamental Rights
