Welcome to the Student Government Association (SGA)! We're excited you're here and interested in learning more about how we serve the student body.
Throughout our website, you'll find information about SGA, legislation passed by the Senate to enhance the student experience, recordings of previous Senate meetings, and details about the student leaders who represent you.
We encourage you to get involved by participating in First Year Senate, attending
town halls, joining campus initiatives, and connecting with us on social media. If
you have questions, concerns, or ideas, we invite you to reach out to any member of
SGA. We are committed to representing your voice, advocating for your interests, and
working to make a positive impact
on the student experience.
RSO Funding Opens August 25
SGA funding for Registered Student Organizations opens Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 6:00 PM. Requests submitted before that date cannot be processed.
Before your organization can request funding, two things must be complete:
- Your organization must be registered and in active status. RSO registration is handled through TigerZone and closes September 15.
- Your officers must complete SGA financial training. This is separate from the RSO training delivered by Student Leadership and Involvement, and completing one does not satisfy the other.
Training dates: August 25, August 26, and September 3.
Funding is awarded first come, first served until the annual allocation is exhausted, so plan early.
Travel funding follows the same August 25 opening date and the same training requirement. Travel is a separate process with its own deadlines and eligibility requirements. See the Travel page for details.
