Disability Resources for Students is a part of Student Academic Success, whose motto is: Students Learning through Engagement and Involvement.

The University of Memphis is committed to providing equal opportunity and challenge to all academically qualified students with disabilities and is compliant with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. From 800 to 900 students per year are registered with Disability Resources for Students; the students have a variety of disabilities, including mobility, visual and hard of hearings, a variety of chronic health disorders, psychiatric disorders, learning disabilities, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, seizure disorders, traumatic brain injury, and substance use.
