Military/Veteran Transition

For many veterans, identifying educational and career opportunities that leverage their unique training and skills when reentering the civilian workforce can be a challenge. With transportation jobs accounting for more than 20% of all military occupations (and this percentage rises dramatically when engineering and technical occupations are included), the transportation industry offers many relevant opportunities that often go overlooked. SETWC's focus in this arena includes the following:

Developing resources to raise awareness of connections between military occupations and civilian transportation careers
Mapping pathways from military positions into transportation occupations
Building regional relationships to create a pipeline to education and career opportunities
Highlighting best practices and industry examples of programs to facilitate transition
