Application Checklist

Application

Have you submitted an electronic Admissions Application? You can check the status of your application by returning to your application portal.

Sending Transcripts

Your program may consider your application with an unofficial transcript, and you should upload an unofficial copy when you apply.

However, we prefer to have your most recent official transcript on file as soon as possible.

Have your institution send an official transcript to:

The University of Memphis
Graduate Admissions
365 Fogelman Drive, Room 201
Memphis, TN 38152

If your institution can send official transcripts electronically, they can be emailed from the institution to graduatetranscripts@memphis.edu.

If at the time of application submission your official transcript did not indicate degree conferral dates, then you will need to provide a FINAL, official transcript with dates of degree conferred before the end of your first semester at the University of Memphis. Failure to do so will result in a hold being placed on your account.

Test Scores

Have you determined if test scores (GRE, GMAT, MAT, PRAXIS or TOEFL) are required for your chosen academic program?

If yes, you should have uploaded a Test Taker Score Report in the application.  In order to verify your Test Taker Score Report you need to make your scores available to us or have them sent to us via the testing agency.

Entrance Exams (GRE, GMAT, MAT, PRAXIS)

Have your scores sent directly to the University of Memphis by the testing agency.

The University of Memphis Institution Code for Admissions Test:

GRE = R 1459
GMAT = R 1459
TOEFL = R 1459
PRAXIS = R 1459
MAT = 1748

Language Proficiency Test Scores

In order to verify the scores on your test taker score report, English Language Proficiency Test scores must be sent directly from the testing agency to The University of Memphis or made available to us for verification. Please see the information below on how to do this:
