- Non-F1 Students: Student applying from inside of the US who do not require F1 visa.If you are an Non-F1 student you have to choose the following option.

- .After completing the application, you will receive instructions for setting up your University of Memphis email account and DUO security login. Please set up your account, and follow the instructions in the email for the next step of the application process.
- When you application has been approved, IEI will send you an Acceptance Letter for the ESL program and an I-20. The I-20 is the immigration document for people seeking student (F1) visas. During COVID-19, we are allowed to email these to you.
- If you are an F1 Student, your next step is to Pay the Homeland Security (SEVIS) fee. wait times.
- If you are an F1 Student, your next step is to Schedule your F1 Visa interview at a US Embassy or Consulate. There will be an appointment fee. Every Embassy is different. Look on the Embassy website for information about requesting interview and visa.
- If you do not already have your MMR and Varicella vaccination records, begin working on getting these vaccinations or doing the blood work required.
- Schedule your travel to Memphis. You may arrive in the US up to 30 days before the start of the session. Let the IEI office know if you wish to have an airport pickup when you arrive in Memphis.
