Oracle VM VirtualBox may incur additional expenses

Due to additional expenses created by users using Oracle VM VirtualBox add-ons, access to download.virtualbox.org is blocked on University networks.

Although Oracle VM VirtualBox Base Pack is a free, open-source product, use of the Extension Pack, which provides additional features, will create a per-license expense for your department. Any such license requires prior business justification and expenditure authorization. While some users may qualify to use the Extension Pack as part of an educational curriculum, specific conditions apply for such use. It's possible to download the Extension Pack and inadvertently incur costs for the University. As such, access to Oracle's download page is restricted.
