About Professor Peterkin

Prior to arriving at Memphis Law, Professor Peterkin was the Director of Academic Support and Bar Preparation at the University of South Dakota School of Law. While serving there, he oversaw the inaugural academic support program at the school.

Professor Peterkin has previous experience as a legal writing professor at North Carolina Central University School of Law where he served in this capacity for seven years. While at NCCU, Professor Peterkin taught first-year and second-year legal writing courses. He also taught in a program for undergraduates that was designed to prepare them for law school.

Prior to his teaching career, Professor Peterkin was an advocate for his clients in private practice where he concentrated on civil litigation, real estate and estate planning.

For over a decade, Professor Peterkin has served as the Senior Lecturer with the legal education company, Law People USA, LLC, where he trains an average of one thousand licensed attorneys a year.
