The Benjamin L. Hooks Institute for Social Change is seeking a dynamic, dedicated, community-engaged person to volunteer at the Hooks Institute one to two days a week to share our mission and work with the community and non-profit groups throughout Memphis. Tasks would include managing other volunteers for Hooks Institute events; helping to publicize Hooks Institute events by contacting non-profit and community groups; meeting with nonprofit and community groups to explain the mission and work of the Hook Institute; identifying possible collaborators; and other related duties. The Hooks Institute's mission is teaching, studying, and promoting civil rights and social change. We have over 20 years of promoting community engagement and scholarship to create solutions to problems facing Memphis and beyond.
