Graduate Handbook

The most recent versions of the Graduate Handbook are those from 2011, 2014, and 2020.

For applicants to the graduate program of the Department of Biological Sciences: the admission requirements and process are those described in the most current version of the graduate Handbook (Part I of the 2020 Graduate Handbook).

The graduate curriculum applying to students throughout their tenure in the program is the one described in the version of the graduate handbook dated from the semester students enter the program. If there is no version dated from that semester, the graduate curriculum applying to students throughout their tenure in the program is the one described in the version of the handbook dated from the closest semester preceding that at which students entered the program. For instance, the graduate curriculum applying to a student who started in Fall 2015 will be that described in the 2014 Handbook.

The policies applying to graduate students, irrespective of their time of entry in the program, are those outlined in the most current version of the graduate handbook, which is that of 2020 (policies are described in Part II of that Handbook).
