On Thursday, April 14, and as a part of their continuing commemoration of the sesquicentennial of the Memphis Massacre, Drs. Bond and O’Donovan will be leading a book talk at the Benjamin Hooks Central Library. Taking as their starting point Stephen V. Ash’s book, A Massacre in Memphis, Bond and O’Donovan will focus their remarks on public policy and violence before, during, and after the event of May 1-3, 1866. The discussion will be held in the Memphis Room from 6:00-8:00PM. It is free and open to the public.
