Dr. Poston named the AIS representative to the NCWIT leadership team

Dr. Robin Poston, professor and chair of the department of Business Information and Technology, was recently named as the Association for Information Systems (AIS) representative of the National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT) leadership team. This role was formerly held by past AIS President Jane Fedorowicz.

The AIS' mission is to serve society in the advancement of knowledge and excellence in the study and profession of information systems. As part of this mission, AIS works with the NCWIT Leadership Team to increase women's participation in computing and technology. NCWIT equips leaders with resources for taking action in recruiting, retaining, and advancing women from K–12 and higher education through industry and entrepreneurial careers. Current initiatives include: making impacts on K-12 with representation at the White House, supporting Black Girls & Women in Technology Roundtable events, promoting college member recruitment for the Aspirations in Computing Community, encouraging Corporate Technology Inclusion Pledges, supporting Hopper Tracy Camp, and organizing workshops and summits.
