Zhang named associate dean for faculty and administration

Dr. Chen Zhang has been named the new associate dean for faculty and administration for the University of Memphis Fogelman College of Business & Economics.

Dr. Zhang's research interests include digital platform ecosystems, open data, sharing economy, IT leadership, strategy and governance, IT innovation and entrepreneurship, business analytics and online innovation communities.

Dr. Zhang has published her research in Information Systems Research, MISQ Executive, Journal of Organizational and End User Computing, IEEE Software and proceedings of major international conferences such as International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS).

Dr. Zhang has taught courses in various areas such as machine learning and analytics, mobile application development, business application development and computer hardware and software.

She holds a Ph.D. in management information systems from Purdue University, a M.S. in computer science from Wright State University, an MBA from Bowling Green State University and a B.S. in economics from Beijing Normal University in China.

The Fogelman College of Business & Economics is an AACSB accredited institution comprising six departments – School of Accountancy; Business Information and Technology; Economics; Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate; Management; and Marketing and Supply Chain Management.
