**Update: Deferred payment is no longer available at the University of Memphis if you are using tuition reimbursement. You will need to pay for the course prior to the course start date (a payment link will be emailed to you) or you will not be allowed into the class. The only invoice payments that are allowed is when the course will be paid for by your cost center.**



All trainings are NONREFUNDABLE within 14 days of the training’s scheduled start date. Attendees who wish to cancel within the 14-day nonrefundable period will need to email Rami Lotay (rslotay@memphis.edu) and give a detailed explanation as to why they cannot possibly attend, as they will still be liable for payment in full.

This hands-on, virtual bootcamp is driven by practical exercises across most used MS365 tools: PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, Teams, and Forms.  This densely packed class will increase your productivity by making your work deliver more value, look more professional, and save you time. 

This fast-paced course is intended to increase proficiency, and not to teach basic computer literacy for those who rarely/never use PowerPoint, Teams, or Excel.  



Day 1:  

  • Microsoft Excel
    • Customize Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) & ribbon to increase efficiency
    • Quickly format large datasets as intelligent tables
    • Visualize data trends and patterns with conditional formatting
    • Leverage Excel AI to fill and extract pieces of data
    • Learn PivotTable basics for flexible, quick calculations
    • Create meaningful charts based on your data type
  • Microsoft OneNote
    • Customize Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) & ribbon to increase efficiency
    • Format pages and notes based on individual needs
    • Organize important notes with standard and custom tags
    • Create meaningful notes with tables, work documents, screenshots, diagrams, and handwriting
    • Leverage collaboration to organize and share team notebooks

Day 2:

  • Microsoft PowerPoint
    • Establish a solid, strong presentation foundation
    • Customize Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) & ribbon to increase efficiency
    • Quickly fix common font and formatting mistakes in seconds
    • Resources for high-quality graphics and icons (more than just brand)
    • Create unique, impactful slide movement using Morph transition
  • Microsoft Teams
    • Manage your Microsoft Team with customized settings & tags
    • Learn new Teams commands to shortcut common tasks
    • Quickly find special chats and channels based on need
    • How to use Microsoft Whiteboard during and after meetings
    • Using bots I bet you didn’t know about

Prerequisites include basic knowledge of common computer skills: file management, copy/paste, navigating Office top ribbon, and downloading files.
