Template Guide

The following are overviews of the templates available within the 2025 Framework:

Homepage: Image and Video

This page will be managed by Marketing & Communications. The template is mapped correctly and should not be accessible to the larger campus community outside of Marketing & Communications and Web & Mobile Services.

Interior Full Width

Catch-all template that is mapped correctly. This can be used for various subpages where a full-width view is desired. It is a good replacement for the current microsite subpage. It can be made available to the larger WebDev community.

Interior 2 Columns

Catch-all template that is mapped correctly. This can be used for various subpages where side navigation is desired. It is a good replacement for the current microsite subpage. It can be made available to the larger WebDev community.

News: Home

This template does not need to be included in mapping. It can be used to create newsroom homepages for colleges, schools, the president's office, etc. after the redesign is completed. It should be limited to more advanced users of the CMS and not necessarily be made available to the entire WebDev community.

News: Listing

This template does not need to be included in mapping. It can be used to create news listing pages to complement newsroom homepages for colleges, schools, the president's office, etc. after the redesign is completed. It should be limited to more advanced users of the CMS and not necessarily be made available to the entire WebDev community, keeping in mind it currently requires an XML refresh.

News: Article

This template does not need to be included in mapping. It can be used to create news article pages to complement newsroom homepages and listing pages for colleges, schools, the president's office, etc. after the redesign is completed. Faculty: Listing

This template is used for faculty/staff listings within colleges, departments, schools, centers, etc., commonly seen in “About” sections. It is likely not possible to account for this in migration mapping, and instead can be used to update migrated pages and create new faculty listing pages post-migration. It can be made available to the entire WebDev community, keeping in mind it currently requires an XML refresh.

Faculty: Profile

This template is used to create faculty profile pages. It is mapped correctly. It can be made available to the entire WebDev community.

Program: Listing

This template is used for program listings within colleges, schools, centers, etc. It is likely not possible to account for this in migration mapping, and instead can be used to update migrated pages and create new faculty listing pages post-migration. It can be made available to the entire WebDev community, keeping in mind it currently requires an XML refresh.

This template is used for specific program details within colleges, schools, centers, etc. It is likely not possible to account for this in migration mapping, and instead can be used to update migrated pages and create new program listing pages post-migration. It can be made available to the entire WebDev community.

Undergrad Admissions

Unique template for enrollment/admissions. Should not be made available outside of MC/WMS for page creation.

Newly Admitted Student

Unique template for enrollment/admissions. Should not be made available outside of MC/WMS for page creation.

• Map to: /admissions/admitted/index.pcf

Info For

Not essential for migration. This can be used for various future campus events/initiatives (e.g. Homecoming, Earth Day, Career Fairs, etc.) and made available to the larger WebDev community.

Colleges & Schools

This is the main (or index) page layout for all of the colleges, some of our more prominent schools, and the president and provost/academic affairs. This template can be used for migration, but I would advise against making it available outside of MC/WMS for page creation. I believe a lot of these are mapped for interior full width currently and can be switched to the Colleges & Schools template:
