Nursing Careers and NCLEX Licensure

Career Conferences

The LCON Student Nurses' Association hosts a Career Conference in the Community Health Building at the beginning of each semester. Local and regional employers meet with graduating students to discuss residency programs and job opportunities.

NCLEX Application

Upon completion of the nursing program, graduates are eligible to take the NCLEX examination for state licensure at designated testing sites. Students receive an NCLEX application packet from their Academic Advisor/Graduation Specialist at the beginning of their final semester. Students must submit their completed application packets, including a photo (graduation composite photo) and application fee, to the Academic Advisor by December 1st. At the time of submission, the NCLEX application will be notarized by Academic Advisor/Graduation Specialist or an authorized designee. NCLEX applications are sent to the Board of Nursing after all completed applications are received.
