Campus Cable TV
Access clear digital content from your QAM digital ready TV via our campus cable network with over 75 channels including HBO and Cinemax. To connect for the first time, be sure to run the set up for your unit to scan for cable digital channels. Once these are loaded you will be all set.
How do I program my digital TV to receive all the University channels?
It is important to perform a channel scan on your TV to ensure you are viewing all the available analog and digital channels. Exact details on how to auto program or auto tune digital TVs vary from manufacturer to manufacturer and from model to model. For best results, refer to the owner's manual. Most TVs will take between 20-45 minutes to complete this function.
Using the TV's remote control, follow these general steps:
Step 1: Press the "Power" button to turn on the TV
Step 2: Press the "Menu" Button
Step 3: Select "Set-Up"
Step 4: Select "Antenna" then "Cable"
Step 5: Select "Auto Program/Auto Tune/Channel scan" then "OK"
If you have tried this set up and still not able to find any channels, you may not have a TV that has the QAM digital tuner. Campus Televideo has a helpful FAQ section for additional help including a listing of models not equipped with QAM tuner. If you find that your TV is not on this list, it may be a problem with the cable itself.
If you are having a problem after attempting all the above, please contact your Resident Advisor (RA) or ResLife Coordinator (RLC).
