Please note: If you decide to withdraw completely from the University, your courses should be dropped promptly per the Fee Adjustment/Refund Deadlines for each term to avoid owing fees.

Spring 2022 Law Fee Payment Deadlines

Please note that all Course Fees and Material Fees are non-refundable after the start of the first day of the course. Carefully review the registration dates and corresponding fee payment deadlines below. The Installment Payment Plan (IPP) is offered to help satisfy payment requirements by the appropriate fee payment deadline. If students are not planning to attend, courses should be dropped promptly to avoid owing fees.
November 8	Priority Registration for Spring 2022 begins
November 8 -January 18, 2022	100% Fee Adjustment/Refund Period - Law
November 24	GA Contracts due to Graduate School
December 6 - March 14, 2022	Installment Payment Plan (IPP) available to sign-up on TigerXpress. An initial down payment of 10% of the remaining balance of tuition and fees is required and a $25 enrollment fee will automatically be included in IPP. Beginning January 1, the enrollment fee will be $50.
December 7	eBills available online on TigerXpress Students will be notified by email (U of M email address) when eBills are available and by text messaging if signed up on TigerXpress to receive text messages.
December 10	Deadline to submit Departmental Tuition Assistance (UG only) to the University & Student Business Services
December 13 - December 30	BAPP (Bookstore Advance Payment Plan)
January 1, 2022	$50 Installment Payment Plan (IPP) enrollment fee begins
January 4, 2022	Fee Payment Deadline (4:30 p.m.) for students who register through January 4, 2022. Students who wish to register for courses with remaining seat availability may do so during Late Registration. All courses must be paid in full or be enrolled in a designated semester's Installment Payment Plan (IPP). Note: To request to register after late registration, you will need to contact your college representative for approval. If approved, be prepared to pre-pay in full or have sufficient financial aid/scholarships for ALL fees for all Parts-Of-Term. You will have five business days from the date that the college approves/signs the request to satisfy fees in order to be enrolled in courses. The Spring 2022 Installment Payment Plan option will end at 4:30pm on March 14, 2022
January 7, 2022	Financial Aid Disbursement for Spring-eRefunds (direct deposit) will begin to post to students' bank accounts.
January 10, 2022	Priority deadline to sign up for eRefunds (direct deposit) on TigerXpress for processing excess financial aid/scholarship refunds as available for the initial direct deposit. NOTE: Students who miss this deadline should still sign up in preparation for subsequent disbursements.
*January 10, 2022	Late Registration ($100 Late Registration Fee) All Late Registration will be assessed a $100 Late Fee. Please note: If you decide to withdraw completely from the University, your courses should be dropped promptly before the posted fee deadlines to avoid owing fees.
January 14, 2022	Fee Payment Deadline for Late Registration (4:30 p.m.) Courses must be paid in full or signed up/paid on the Installment Payment Plan (IPP).
January 19, 2022	Fee Payment Deadline for Late Payment (4:30 p.m.) to avoid the assessment of a $100 Late Payment Fee. Please note: If you decide to withdraw completely from the University, your courses should be dropped promptly before the posted fee deadlines to avoid owing fees.

January 19-24	50% Fee Adjustment/Refund Period – Law
January 25 - May 13	0% Fee Adjustment/Refund Period - Law
March 1, 2022	1st Installment Fee Payment Deadline to avoid $25 Late Payment Fee for students enrolled in the Installment Payment Plan.
April 1, 2022	2nd Installment Fee Payment Deadline to avoid $25 Late Payment Fee for students enrolled in the Installment Payment Plan.
May 1, 2022	3rd Installment Fee Payment Deadline to avoid $25 Late Payment Fee for students enrolled in the Installment Payment Plan.

Late Registration Additional Information

Students who late register beginning January 8, 2022, will be assessed a $100 late registration fee.
After January 10th a late registration fee of $100 and a late payment fee of $100 will be assessed to students who initially registered for the first time.

PLEASE NOTE:

All courses must be paid in full by the Fee Payment Deadline.

Students who decide not to attend or decide to drop a course(s) must drop that course(s) from their schedule. Fees for dropping courses may be adjusted based on the refund policy in effect on the date the course(s) were dropped.
