Department Research

Research in the Department of Philosophy focuses primarily on three areas: Mind (including phenomenology, philosophy of mind, cognitive sciences, social cognition and collective intentionality, philosophy of psychology/psychiatry), European/Continental Philosophy (from Kant through contemporary thought), and Social and Political Philosophy (including critical theory, philosophy of race, and feminist philosophy).

The department also has ongoing research interests in Ethics and History of Philosophy.
