Gain a better understanding of your current fitness level and learn ‘how to train better’. This series of tests measures your bodies output at rest, your bone density, fat mass, muscle mass and your cardiorespiratory fitness. Using this data, a trained applied scientist will work with you to create principles to understand your body and guide your training.

The resting metabolic rate testing is a non-invasive test that accurately measures how many calories you burn at rest. During the test, a machine captures and analyzes the composition of your breath, determining your oxygen consumption to measure the rate at which you consume energy.

Your body scan is a non-invasive test that measures bone mineral density to assess risk of fracture, and your body fat and muscle mass measurement, including both the amount and location to provide information to individually tailor training recommendations.

A graded exercise test records your bodies response to physical activity to measure your fitness level and athletic capacity. Depending on your preference, this test can be performed on a cycle ergometer or treadmill, during which you will exercise at increasing more difficult workloads until you reach exhaustion (typically 8-12 minutes). Your fitness is measured by analyzing the air expired by your lungs, your heart is monitored with an ECG and blood pressure data is collected before and after the test. Analysis will detail your overall cardiorespiratory output and lactate threshold to guide your training zones. This test is sometimes referred to as a ‘stress test’ as we are measuring your bodies response to the ‘stress’ of exercise.
