Piano

A diverse faculty guides piano students as they develop their pianistic and performance skills and build a broad repertoire. We work with students to help them achieve their professional aspirations, whether it is solo performance, collaboration with instrumentalists and vocalists, or developing keyboard skills in order to support other musical endeavors. Students have many opportunities for performance including solo recitals, chamber ensembles and accompanying.

Our faculty pursue vigorous performance schedules nationally and internationally as solo and collaborative artists. In addition, the School supports a successful series of Distinguished Guest Artist performances and master classes

The Keyboard Area hosts the annual Memphis International Piano Festival and Competition that attracts competitors from across the world. The weekend is filled with concerts and events featuring world-renowned teaching artists and performers. For more information www.memphisipfc.com
