Because I am involved... I am more confident. During my time as president of my sorority, I had to do things that were new to me. Being involved on campus and attending different events has greatly improved my interview skills, networking, organization, and public speaking. For me, being involved on campus is a priceless experience.

Because I am involved... I learned how to become a better leader. Coming from MTSU after my freshman year, and then transferring here, I was never involved in extra-curricular activities I didn't know the first step on how to become a leader. After joining organizations such as EMOC and Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Inc., I learned from various people how to become a good leader and the qualities of one as well. Since then I now hold three executive board decisions, and would like to thank everyone who believed in me.

Because I am involved... I have a better understanding of the world around me. I feel like I can relate to any-one in any situation due to my various involvements around campus. It has allowed me to be around many different types of people, preparing myself for my future business career. Without being involved, I do not see myself being the leader I am to this day.

Because I am involved...I have grown so much as a person. I have learned things about myself that I never would have known without getting involved on campus. Through working with the SLI Office on campus I have been afforded so many opportunities to grow and learn from other amazing campus leaders. Now entering my senior year, I plan to pass the skills I have learned onto others.

Because I am involved...with fraternity/sorority life, I have learned that communication is key. I have become a better listener and more patient. Sorority life has also offered me networking opportunities that will be beneficial to me throughout my life. I have learned a lot about my leadership style, and how those skills will help me in the future. The greatest impact from fraternity/sorority life has been community service. Being selfless and giving up one's time for others is something fraternity/sorority life has instilled in me and I am forever grateful.
