About Dr. Berry
Adoración (Dora) Berry is an Assistant Professor of Teaching in Spanish in the Department of World Languages and Literatures at the University of Memphis. She has taught undergraduate classes both face-to-face and online, direct and his part of the committee of the World Languages and Literatures Language Fair, and in addition, has designed and coordinated the online courses. She has served as co-coordinator for the Standardization of the Basic Spanish program and was responsible for the redesign of the basic program to better serve University of Memphis students. Based on the standardization process, the team received a TBR Course Revitalization Grant for Spanish 1010. Their success was then extended to the three remaining basic courses (Spanish 1020, 2010, and 2020). She continues working with the World Languages and Literatures Department at the University of Memphis as the Spanish online coordinator and has accomplished the design of all Spanish online courses. Further, she is the online design expert in the Department providing support to faculty members in the development of other online courses, offering best teaching practices workshops, and workshops on teaching using technology.
