Prof. Dipankar Dasgupta has been awarded U.S. Patent No. 9,912,657 for an "Adaptive multi-factor authentication system."

The patent, which was granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office on March 6, also names former students Abhijit Nag and Arunava Roy as co-inventors.
