Before classes begin, all first-year students participate in an orientation program to ease the transition into law school.  This year's orientation will take place from August 12 - 15, 2019.  Orientation is mandatory for 1L students.

There are numerous opportunities to interact with professors and fellow students. Upper level students will serve as Peer Mentors to small groups of students. There will be opportunities to discuss essential study skills, workload, school policies, community involvement opportunities, and other topics of interest.

You will receive an orientation to our excellent facility and information about our downtown location, housing, and parking. Finally, you will attend several classes which are designed to help acclimate you to the study of law.  You will also attend your first Legal Methods class and a Civil Procedure class to begin your formal legal education.
