  • How do I withdraw from classes? 

    Check the Registrar's Office Semester Dates and Deadline pages for the Last Day to Withdrawal. Check with the Financial Aid office before withdrawing from any class. It may negatively impact your financial aid. 

    Before the deadline, you can withdraw through your MyMemphis
    -Select “Register for Classes” on your Student tab.
    -On the page that opens, select “Add or Drop Classes”
    -Select the current term in the drop down menu on the next page.
    -That will take you to your current schedule. Next to the class is a drop down menu labeled “Action.”
    -Select “Web Withdrawn” from the drop down menu and scroll to the bottom of the screen.
    -Finally, click the “Submit Changes” button.”
    -Double check that your hours have changed and that it says Web Withdrawn next to the class.

    AFTER the deadline, you must fill out the CAS Withdrawal petition and attach supporting documentation. Petitions without documentation will be automatically denied.

  • How do I change my major or minor? Speak with your current advisor (Find Your Advisor). Ask your advisor to contact the Dean’s office with the following information: student first and last name, u number and new major or minor. You will be assigned a new advisor once the new major has been declared.

To drop/withdraw from the class, you’ll go into your my.memphis.edu account

  • Select “Register for Classes” on your Student tab.
